Yes,once our treatment is over,( if it ever REALLY is) the psychological trauma is ongoing. For me,even though I am well,I am so aware,24/7 that I have one breast. It actually doesn't worry me,or upset me,it's just that I know, and most people that I come across daily, don't know. When I sit at the school to pick up my foster child each day,I look at the other Mums, and I feel different.Outwardly I'm not,but inwardly I am.Chances are, there are other Mums there that have had BC,but even knowing that,it doesn't help in making me feel differently. You are right about treatment too. Each one of us is so different ,and entitled to our own opinion. That is why I love this blog, because we can air our feelings without being judged.Try to be patient Chris. It is the worst part of the journey the waiting, but pretty soon it will be a memory. :) Cheers xoxRobym
