Hi,
My mum died of bowel cancer two years ago, she lasted only about three months after diagnosis-just refused treatment and never spoke to me again apart from emails....she lived in London and asked not to see me and now I have breast cancer and it sucks. My children either ignore me or say THEY are depressed and expect to be waited on. I did go to a counsellor at the hospital but did not find her to be what I need , probably need to look further. Your mum is lucky to have you and your sister and am sure she knows it.
