  • thank  you all for your responses, guess I will just wait and see what responses my body gives, but will not drive just in case.

  • Hi Julia

I really didn't have any immediate side effects and have had mild in the 2 days since Friday. I've written a new blog so you might like to read.

Think it just reminds us that we are all so different!

As far as driving I was okay but was pleased I had my daughter with me - wouldn't have liked to have been on own!

All the best - will be thinking of you.

  • All the best for your chemo.

I drove home after my first 2 chemos, but I dont live so far from where I am having treatment. The effects hit me after two hours - same as Jo has said.

I lay dow, put my headphones on listened to some guided meditation and some relaxing music.

Everyone is different, do what you feel you can, and don't be hard on yourself if you can't.

  • Hi Julia,

You wont be able to drive after chemo as they give you tablets brfore hand which does change ur perceprion and judgment. I know I get quite disoriantated on them and dizzy. my symptoms start about 2 hours after drip is taken out on my first 2 chemos. so I assume it will happen on my 3rd etc chemos as well. But I know other people take a few days! so every one is different so just listen to ur body :)

    Good luck!

    Jo xoxo
