Fec-d regime

Hey @Trikk2 i had FEC in 2015  i was told that id be no good 1st week of infusion but pick up by day 10 and week 3 feel good. Then back to next infusion and start again. I also had taxol 8 weeks.  My oncologist said cold cap wont be successful with fec but maybe if i had just done taxol. I haf friends try cold caps and weren't successful had to abandon them. Fec is the red devil and a very hard hitting chemo. My onc said id be able to work week 3 of each 4 infusions. Unfortunately I was hospitalised after 2nd 3rd and 4th ones as was very ill. Honestly im pretty tough and had everything planned but unfortunately I didnt cope. Everyone is different. Wishing you all the best.Melinda

Unknown is horrible. Good idea to try something new for a hobby. What have you got in mind? I'm working on a few things to help me through the mental side of recovery. It's all rather challenging eh?! K xox

That's good that you could do that. I' off for 6mths. Time to find a hobby. It's all the stressof the unknown. Thanks xxx

Hi @Trikki2. I had fec-d a couple of years ago. My worst days, from (my very poor, chemo affected) memory,  were around days 3to 7 or 8. I did, however, manage to work most of the way through. I was only working 3 days/ week at rhe time, with a very supportive workplace.
