I think have a few different things you are into and that way depending on how you are feeling as to what you can manage comfortably. The worst part is having no control, so once I let go of that there were parts that were just so much easier. Once you get through the first you will feel so much better in terms of what to expect. I went alone to my first and the Nurse said I was like a duck treading water frantically awwww...was very anxious but gee they're fantastic! and I met some wonderful patients too.
I loved to write poetry hadnt done it in years, but interesting once I finished chemo what I was starting to write it was very healing for me. Through treatment I couldnt manage anything so thats where each day it was just what made me feel safe and nurtured however small.
The unknown is always so daunting, so have faith and just know you have a wonderful team and lots of support hopefully at home and here too. :) x
