Fat-sacks Under the arm
How do you ladies deal with the lumps fatty tissue left under the arm after a mastectomy? I find them very uncomfortable and very annoying, and sometimes feel pain from them.
I would write down all of your questions before that phone consult. Even asking for a referral to another hospital, if they can't answer your questions re side fat. You may also want to go on a waiting list for Recon, where ever that is available to you. Go for that appointment when it comes just to ask questions about options. I don't think the Fat-sacks as you call them would be removed prior to Recon, as that tissue may have good use. It is all about talking to the right people. If you decide that you will not have Recon, they should still be able to explain, re options. That does sound difficult for you.
