The 'Flat AND Fabulous' site is a great idea for ladies who have decided not to opt for reconstruction following surgery for cancer. Well done to those who started it !
I recently attended a short seminar on the use of Facebook and the following items may be of interest to ladies, especially those who may be thinking of posting photos on the web:
1. Facebook owns all data put onto the site
2. Facebook can use anything they want in any fashion (this is in the fine print)
3. You can set your boundaries to as private and secure as you want BUT Facebook periodically goes through and resets it all so you need to check that regularly to avoid being compromised
Personally, I do not use Facebook for these reasons, even though I have an excellent anti-virus package.
I feel BCNA is a great place for us and the organisation does have checks in place to be sure members are in fact bona fide.
Perhaps the BCNA No Reconstruction Group can look at the other and see if there is a gap which needs to be filled ?
Maybe BCNA can comment ?
