- kezmuscMemberYep, almost 4 weeks after chemo to the day. They were hanging in there the whole way through. I had been out to the races and wore lots of eye makeup. I used eye makeup remover that night and it took them all out! They thinned out again about 2 months after that. They've stayed put since then.
- AfraserMemberI mourned my last eyelash until I realised what had caused it to drop - a tiny row of new eyelashes growing in. Neuropathy however can continue to get worse for a while after chemo treatment stops. Hope it starts improving soon.
- Fionap2017MemberThanks primek- I'm glad to hear they will make a comeback! Guess I can't expect everything to go back to normal straight away considering the treatments they give us.
- primekMember@Fionap2017 I lost the last of my eyelashes about 4 weeks after last chemo. They will suffendly appear again in a few weeks. Tiny at first.
. - Fionap2017MemberI've been wondering what is going on with mine. I finished chemo 4 weeks ago and I lost most of my eyebrows and lashes during treatment but now the few I had left are falling out. I guess I thought they'd be growing back by now, not still falling out. The neuropathy in my feet is worse now too. Crazy how these side effects happen.
- ZoffielMemberMine did that too. Its such a shame as the first round of regrowth was very thick. It does settle down in time.
- primekMemberEyelashes have an approx 100 day cycle so as they grew in together they fall out together. I remember freaking out losing heaps at once too. But they didn't all come out and soon thickened up again.
- sandy08MemberHi @Glemmis, thanks for the info! I guess I have to be patient.
- GlemmisMemberHi @Sandy08, I finished chemo 12 months ago, 4 rounds AC & 12 rounds Taxol. My eyelashes have fallen out 4 times with the last 2 months ago. They seem to be staying put now. Everyone is different but I have heard of it happening to others so try & be patient!
- sandy08Member@kmakm, I had taxol and Carbo for 12 weeks. Carbo every three weeks.
