Eyebrow thinning

My eyebrows have thinned considerably . I have been using a product from Woolies for a couple of weeks called “More brows” by Modelco. It’s a brush on fibre gel and works a treat applied daily to give me back eyebrows that look reasonably natural.I realise it’s only a temporary fix and more permanent options are available but for now it’s making me feel better . I like to use it whether I apply makeup or not. Just thought it may help someone.
  • @PatsyN not sure of your mobility issues but just thought I’d let you know YWCA has a free 8 week hydrotherapy course starting in Byron bay beginning of February- is  2 hours per week,I am just finishing mine down here and it’s great .
  • @PatsyN anytime - might be me next time feeling flat. It is a roller coaster but life is good.
  • @Romla - Thanks for your words of encouragement. There is no mark to overstep if you ask me. I'm lucky to have visits from friends who lift my soul every day. My Thai neighbours cook me dinner every night. I go from feeling lucky as to anxious several times a day. But because of the way I walk my confidence has most definitely taken a dive. It's beautiful here. I'm by the beach and town is full of tourists. See, now I'm feeling lucky again, lol. Cheers and thank you once again.
  • @PatsyN if fear of wiping off a brow is inhibiting put More brows in your handbag and reapply like I see ladies reapplying makeup in the loos at shopping centre - as brows are big now you should be right on trend. On a serious note I hope and pray treatment is not knocking your confidence around so much that you are hiding at home . Treatment takes up time , money , causes fatigue and other hassles but life is still there for us to enjoy as are many of the people who were there before it started but it does require going out the front door even though we know there are times we’d rather not.Hoping I haven’t overstepped the mark -big hugs.
  • @Romla - I said I'd let you know how I go with the More Brows. I didn't get to Woolies the next day, I forgot and then today when I remembered it was too late! They are all gone (the eyebrows, that is). I have a stencil that I can use now that there's no hair at all. I just hope that someone tells me very quickly if I accidently wipe one off while I'm out and about. (another reason for not leaving the house)
  • @Romla that sounds like what I need. I'm going to woolies tomorrow to get some. I'll let you know how I go.
@Zoffiel I know what you mean about big defined brows. I think they look great on my 19yr old daughter.
My arm gets tired doing just one brow, and then I have a little rest until I attempt the next brow.
And then I have a bit of a lie down before doing the eye liner thing.
Another little lie down before the lip pencil thing and I'm almost ready to leave the house.
One final rest and I'm off, unless I can't find the keys.
Getting out the door reminds me of having a new baby.
  • Thanks @Zoffiel - weird as it sounds it feels good to have eyebrows again - why I like this one is it doesn’t make me look like Joan Crawford or Greta Garbo just normal size brows in a normal colour xo
  •  Go for the temporary solution for the moment and see what happens when you are through any treatment that could have an effect on your brows. I don't know how long that will take; mine have grown back, sort of, but they are sparse and grey. I just use brown eye shadow to colour them a bit.

Regarding eyebrows; it seems to be a 'thing' for models to have heavy eyebrows at the moment. Being face to face with a young (or older) woman who has done a job on defining her eyebrows that would rival some of the stars of the silent film era is a bit disconcerting. Each to their own. Do what makes you feel good. Marg XXX
