Exemestane and zoladex

Thanks @Tri I  am going to try and take the osteo a bit more as I  exercise but it doesn't help my hands.  

Hi @Spursy sometimes I take Panadol as suggested by @iserbrown if I wake in the night with aches, or Nuromol (a combination of ibuprofen and paracetamol).
But unexpectedly the best thing I found is exercise- specifically yoga and getting the strength and movement into my fingers, wrists and ankles. I’m sorry to hear that you have pain in your arms and hands ❤️, that’s no fun at all. Sending you big virtual hugs in solidarity. 

Thank you for your reply. No, I  don't take anything. I am just so annoyed at the whole thing!  Ì can't see the point in suffering and taking another drug to counteract the other drug! Sorry to rant. Take no notice. I thought something was wrong with me but now I  realise it's the drug again.

I hear your frustration!
Everyone reacts differently to the Aromatose Inhibitors and or Tamoxifen. 
Are you taking any pain relief?
The body does adjust in time and Panadol Osteo is needed only occasionally!
I did 9+ years - Tamoxifen,  Letrozole,  Aromasin and then back to Tamoxifen!
My first lot of Tamoxifen was with Zoladex injections for 2 years.  I then moved to Letrozole!
The upside is the medication does its work and the end result is NED!

I'm on Exemestane now and the last month I've started to ache in the hands and arms mainly unbelievably painful. I thought I was doing so well on this one as I've tried Letrozole and Anastrozole and they were worse.  I don't want to go onto Tamoxifen as I've read it's bad. 
It seems every one of these drugs are the same.  What is the point when it makes you feel like this?

I’m on Herceptin and Exemestane and Zoladex. Main issues are achy joints in the morning that get better with exercise and sore feet if I’m on my feet too much. Oh and no chance of intercourse!!! But with everything else going on who knows what part of the treatment is causing that!!

Hi @Sunshine0206 I did one round of Zolodex and Exemestane but then opted to get ovaries and tubes removed. Am 39 was 37 at time of diagnosis. Have been on Exemestane for nearly 6mth and only side effects I have is stiff joints but once I get up and moving I’m fine and excercise helps xx

Hi @Sunshine0 i'm  on Exemestane and Kisqali , have been since Feb , 2 lots of scans in that time, but have been stable , side effects are coping with the pain and fatigue, but that's ok ,stable is my number 1 word in all of this.
I also have Zometa  every month, I have numerous bone metastases 

I’m on my fourth month of exemestane/zoladex. It’s not too bad. Better than tamoxifen. I don’t have aches more like stiffness. Would I have had that without breast cancer? Maybe. I won’t ever know.

I find that I feel much better if I exercise. 

Ovaries/tubes being removed in 6 sleeps. Then no more zoladex. I actually think the zoladex makes me stiff. I was on it for a month before starting exemestane. Anyway we shall se what we shall see after the surgery.

If Exemestane is too hard talk to Onc and they will change you to something else.  I am now on my third
