End of the chemo tunnel

hi Everyone, after a lovely week away at Bathurst, where I connected with heaps of other artists at the Charles Sturt Uni with the Mitchell School of Arts, I'm now ready for my last chemo. It's a bitter sweet moment, good to have it over and done with, and not so hot having the docetaxel. I have warned the nurses that I will be wearing my sequinned slippers, and have Velcro bows and spark lies to apply to my ice gloves. Next step is radiation in August, so am planning to do lots of walking with my lovely hubby, and work on my fitness. Onward and upward folks, and the lippy still goes on every morning. Sending a big cuddle to you all. Keep forging ahead Girls. Warm wishes, Tracey B xxxx ??????

Thanks Louise, sounds like it will be a busy time. Will also be a chance to catch up with some of our friends and family in the city. Looking forward to September when all of this treatment and appointments are done, then rock on Summer. Cheers, Trace ??

  • Good luck Tracey

i always made a point of putting on makeup, dressing up like I was going out and putting my lippy and makeup on too.  It made me feel good!!  Keep it up with radiation!!

Not long to go now - radiation flies!!

Thanks Jane, I just figure that I can't do much about the chemo, but I can do something about my attitude, thus the sparkles. ??

  • Hi Tracey, sounds like you've had a great week away, and what a wonderful distraction from treatment :-) Best wishes for your final chemo, sounds like you'll be lighting up the room! Jane xx

Thanks Karen, good luck with your next 2 chemos. Once you have 1 more, it's a better feeling. Keep smiling, Trace ????

  • Hi Tracey,

Great to hear you've had a great artistic trip.  Looking forward to more inspirational art posts for us to see.

All the best with the last chemo.  I'm officially half way there, with 2 more to go, just had #2  two days ago. All going well, it should finish up at the end of August. then it's recovery time before radiotherapy as well.

Enjoy your recovery and keep wearing the lippy!

    Karen xx
