Eggs removed today...

Hi All,

This morning I had my eggs removed and they are being fertilised as we speak :o)

All went well it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be which is awesome I always think the worse so its not so bad...

They took 23 eggs and they will let me know tomorrow how many were mature and how many were successfully fertilised :o)

Glad that part of my journey is over though...

Going into the cancer care place tomorrow for a Zoladex injection and another blood test YAY...

Talk soon xxx

  • It did occur to me that no one would ever tell a cancer patient 'oh my god, you look hideous with that shaved head!'  so the compliments i received may have been somewhat biased from my mates and family!

let me know how u go with chemo ...

  • Good luck with your chemo!  I've had round 1 and the first few days were a bit rough but I feel great now.  I've got round 2 in 10 days and I came good after about 5 days.

I've also shaved my head, my hair started falling out this morning and according to everyone, i look hot!  Ha.

  • Good luck with Chemo, it can be a little rough but definately doable.  Just do what you have to to get through it, if it means eating cereal for dinner and icecream for breakfast and sleeping through lunch, just go with the flow.    There is time for getting back to normal after it is finished.   A personal favourite of mine was salt and vinegar chips and red softdrink!!!  The salt and vinegar cut through the metalic taste and the softdrink gave me a bit of a sugar hit.  You will find something that works for you .

Hope lots of your eggs fertilised!!!  A friend of mine has been through IVF recently, well for 10 years actually (not BC related)  and it is always an anxious time waiting to see how many were "Gold".

    Love Tanya
