EEEK!!!

Went in for my treatment yesterday (herceptin and zometa) and had bad results from latest scans. My mind went blank as usual. I have a new spot in my spine and in my head but lung OK which is good. I am going to try Faslodex injections, has anybody had these? I think it is a new thing. The doc suggested provera as an alternative, has anybody tried this? He said it causes weight gain so I kicked up a stink....4 years dealing with tamoxifin was enough for me.  So am giving the injections a shot (haha that's funny!)  Feeling a bit down about it all as was going along pretty well.

It really is a roller coaster ride for all concerned. Felt even worse when I saw a very beautiful young girl having chemo yesterday. I looked around and thought about all these people going through this, all with their own stories to tell. So it's onward and hopefully onto the uphill side of things.

PS Why can't the kids clean up the bloody kitchen????

    Y?es I know how you feel about not gettiing the results you want! I recently found out that I have spots in my bones (lungs were regressing) and I felt pretty disappointed, sad and frustrated! It's such a kick in the teeth isn't it? You are right though, onward and upward...what else can we do? I am having Denosumab, a new drug that has just come on the market? ??(?t?h?i?s? ?????d??r?u?g? ?h?a?s? ?s?u?p?e?r?c?e?d?e?d????????? ???????????Z?o?m?e?t?a??? ?s?o? ?t?h?e?y? ?t?e?l?l? ?m?e)???? ?, for my bones. Apparently it is supposed to be very effective at healing the bones and ??i?s? ?b?e?i?n?g? ?p?r?e?s?c?r?i?b?e?d? ?t?o? ?p?e?o?p?l?e? ?w?h?o? ?h?a?v?e? ?s?t?o?p?p?e?d? ?r?e?s?p?o?n?d?i?n?g? ?t?o? ??Z?o?m?e?t?a?.? ??I?t? may even have some anti-cancer properties, according to the 'experts'.
