Welcome to this network and I hope you've ordered your free "My Journey Kit" as it will get you up to speed with bc info. It is a big shock initially and especially with no family history.I was 47 the first time I got breast cancer.I was healthy, ate well, not overweight, breast fed my 2 babies etc etc. I found a small lump and I can remember thinking that I felt fine and how can such a small lump cause so much havoc. That was in 2003 and then in 2010 I got it again. Each time it was classed as early breast cancer. The good news is that the majority of women with ebc survive and live long lives.I'm fine now and enjoying life. You will go through lots of emotions and it's all normal. It's ok to feel angry, anxious and petrified. These feelings will give way to brave and positive but you can never quite predict how you'll react during this crap journey.Blog any time for info or support or to vent your fears- it all helps. You won't feel so alone- always someone to "chat"with.
