Early Diagnosis
Hi Everyone, I had my usual routine Mammogram 8 weeks ago and I had a recall to go back for further tests. I have never had an abnormal Mammogram but always go along with my mother every 2 years. Thi...
Hi Deanne, thank you for your wonderful and calming words of advice. I think what has upset me more is the fact that there is no family history and that I had no lumps or symptoms.I eat well, although I do have abit of a sweet tooth. I don't exercise very much and I am now going through menopause, so not sure what triggers this disease but I now have it. I hope to eat alot better now and in fact I went to visit a nutritionist yesterday who gave me lists of various fruit and vegetables to eat and vitamins to look into. I have Rheumatiod Arthritis and have been getting treatment for the last 5 years and I also went through the IVF rollercoaster 10 years ago so with various stresses along the way , maybe they have in some way contributed to my body changing. I always thought that IVF would be the hardest thing to go through but being recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer is really going to test me. I plan to try and walk more as I live near some lovely parks, lose abit more weight, and maybe try some relaxation activities such as Yoga, or Reflexology. My surgeon said that it will help the mind and body.
Wonderful that you have finished your treatment and it must be such a relief to you and your loved ones that it is over with and that you feel healthy. My journey is just beginning but I will keep everyone updated. Thanks Deanne..
Take Care
