Early Diagnosis
Hi Everyone, I had my usual routine Mammogram 8 weeks ago and I had a recall to go back for further tests. I have never had an abnormal Mammogram but always go along with my mother every 2 years. Thi...
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, I can understand your emotions are all over the place, it's such a shock. I didn't have any symptons either but I do have a rather tragic family history. The waiting game is the hardest, in the early stages of this journey all we seem to do is wait for results. The best advice given to me was to take 'one day at time', it can be hard to follow because the mind does seem to run off into the future. I had 2 tumours, fortunately they were in the same quadrant of one breast, so I had a wide local incision and a sentinel node biopsy, all good with the nodes. Because of the family history it was reccomended I have chemo and radiation, have completed chemo and moving on to radiation, then hormone treatment. I wish you well for your surgery and any treatment you will need, take care, this is a good place if you need comfort or just need to rant,
