Drowning in sweat!
Can anyone suggest something to help with the sweats? I had them throughout chemo and they are worse now I'm on Letrozole. Literally drowning in sweat the minute I get out the house and start walking - even though it's freezing in Melbourne right now! Don't get them at night, just when doing any kind of physical activity, however gentle.

- @Sister I will. He is such a lovely person and a gentle soul - but wrong on this one point!
- Don't forget, the poor guy is just parrotting what he was taught in med school and we know that the teaching about menopause symptoms is crap, to say the least. That's why a middle-aged female GP is so useful - at least she will have realised from her own experience, or her friends and sisters, that there is more to menopause than is dreamt about in med school. So, treat him gently, but teach him well. :)

- I was post menopausal at age 38 (long story, not cancer or chemo related). Prior to my diagnosis, age 58,(so 20 years later) I had been experiencing night sweats. They got monumental during AC chemo and continued during taxol and herceptin. Am now over a year past the chemo and the drenching night sweats have stopped, but my thermostat is also broken. One minute I'm chilly and put on a jumper, a few minutes I'm boiling hot, and off it comes. Rinse and repeat +++ day and night.

This borders into mansplaining in my not at all humble opinion.
