Dr Paul Mainwaring

Hi ladies. I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on Dr Mainwaring? I understand he is a bit of a guru of TNBC and I am interested to know what his regime of treatment is. Thanks Mandy Xxxx

  • Yes Paul was very positive and seemed sure of how to proceed with my treatment.  At no stage did I feel like he had any doubts.   As I said before by having Chemo first we were able to see that the tumors were disappearing which might have helped.

Looking forward to meeting you if you are not too ill.

    Thanks

  • Was Paul positive with you about your prognosis? I wonder sometimes if my Oncologist is not telling me the whole story, or I could just be paranoid lol!!!

I have had FEC x3/ 3 Weekly at a high dose, now Docetaxol x3/3weekly. I hope its the goods.

Im trying not to read into everyone elses experience too much as we are all different and I have done really well on FEC so you never know. Im more worried about an allergic reaction!

Hopefully we can catch up on Sunday.

  • Yes I am going to be there.

I know that I had the two weekly on the EC as Paul said with the Triple Negative you have to hit it hard as Chemo is our only treatment.

Good luck tomorrow.  I can't compare on how you will go as I had the Paclitaxol weekly.

  • Thank you Sue. I am hoping to get to the luncheon, however I have my first dose of Docetaxol on Monday. Not sure how I will be. I would love to get on a trial with him. It worries me that I am having 3 weekly chemo, when it seems that 2 weekly seems to be the latest treatment :(

Will you be going to the luncheon?
