doing ok

Hi gals...

just wanted to drop a note about how i am going.  I have had a few of you ask me individually but i know there are others (and the office girls) who like to be kept up to date, which is soooo lovely :)

well the 1 'round' of xeloda was tough with intense tummy upsets and nausea. Doc said too intense so knocked the dose back for the 2nd round...much better!! Only having to manage fatigue (which seems to be cumulative) I found the last 3 days of the 2 week xeloda cycle i was really flat and having a sleep both morning and arvo. So this meant it was going to be difficult to attend the summit as i had planned-didn't feel i would be able to get the best from it or contribute like i would want to. I will just have to look forward to the next 'get - together' and hope the timing is better.

Had my bloods done today, see the doc again 2moro and see what she says-she may even add one pill a day back in seeing as i managed really well this time. Next scan will be in about a month, so i guess we'll know how its all working, but at this stage less headaches = assumption its working (on the head at least)..doc is not planning to scan the head again unless she has a reason to look.

so there we go..a good result so far and am looking forward to more of the same!!!

Take care to all

Sam :)  xx

  • Hi Sam, Just wanted to say Congratulations on your story that accompanied the Beacon and the Inside Story this time round.

Hope all is moving along well for you.

    Take care.

  • Hi Sam - thanks for the update.  Sorry not to have been in touch more often - the weather is gorgeous up here in Far North Queensland, but the internet reception is pretty ordinary!  You look gorgeous in your profile pic!

    cheers

    Hi Saaaammmmm :-)

Great to read your update and ditto to what everyone else said! We missed you but you made the right decision to rest (Ps - alot of the team are sick now).

I had so many women come up to me and asked where you were! So even though you weren't there you still had a massive impact.

Make sure you tell us when you are next in Melbourne we would love to have you visit :-)))

  • Hi Sam

It was good to hear from you and I'm glad you are doing ok. The Summit was great but hectic, so I think you made a wise decision to stay home where you could rest. I'm sure there will be other occasions we can catch up with you.

    Look after yourself,

    Kathy
