Does your hair stay curly??

Hi, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February 2010. I had a mastectomy, and chemo therapy. I finished Chemo in July 2010. My hair is growing back nicely, and is going curly. I have had straight hair all my life, but have always wished it could be curly. I am thrilled, with my new curls. Is anyone able to tell me how likely, if at all, my hair is to stay curly?? I saw my oncologist today, and he wasn't able to tell me. I thought some of you may know.  Thanks so much. Andy

  • yep mine came back, black and curly, (my hair was light brown and straight) i finished treatment in jan 2009, i have had a few haircuts since then, and if i wash it and leave it, it is still curly, although while it was growing it was really tight curls, everyone said it was cute, emmmmm cute at my age???? lol, it made a nice change having curls, and the other thing great was i could wash it and leave it, i dont think i brushed my hair for 18month, just fingers through and go, so see girls there is a positive lol. and now i can straighten it or leave it. Once again everyone is different, but i knw some people have kept the curls, others as they get hair cuts, they dissapear. So Shirley Temple eat your heart out, enjoy the new look but most of all, make sure you keep comming back here, by helping yourself, you can help others  Regards Moira,
