I have aggressive carcinoma according to the biopsy report. I am booked in for surgery on the 16th Nov.

Hi Brenda, yes it does matter, I'd be telling the surgeon straight away. That ache is what I had under my arm and into my armpit. The surgeon did a lymph node dissection during my mastectomy, and there were 5 lymph nodes out of the 17 removed that had cancer in them. The surgeon was able to contain the spread of disease, for which I was most grateful, and it made my ongoing treatment easier to plan with the treatment team. Be vocal, Brenda, best o pipe up.
