My ibc is in my right breast and right lymph nodes so my mastectomy for end of August is just for right breast. Yes I am also paranoid of it spreading to the left breast but my drs have been fabulous at reassuring me so my plan of action is right first then when I have reconstruction in 6 months I will have the left off then and reconstructed along with the right. In the meantime my drs have told me I can have as many scans as I like to keep my mind at ease. Hope this helps Fleur xx
