Do I need chemo for 1-3 nodes positive

Yes it is confusing, I was Stage 2, Grade 3 so based on the grade I was automatic chemo, no node involvement tumor 2.5cm, but it was also a recurrence in 4yrs. You could get a 2nd opinion, but they honestly know their stuff. x

That is where the value of a Breast care nurse comes into it as they can decipher and put your mind at ease.  On this forum there are nurses and people from all walks of life however your medical team is the best as sometimes you can be second guessing based on a view from someone who doesn't know you or your file.

It's confusing ? See I thought the the grade determines the rate of growth and for the past several months all I new from being told I had a slow growing grade and it wasn't until yesterday I saw it on my report grade 2 and overseen that because my stage is 2. Hence my panic post with 'should I have chemo because I thought low grade was grade 1 . Maybe I should send my report to Kath , jokes I wont . 

@Dandelion yes Ive sent it to Kath to have a look. Cant find my first diagnosis, only have my 2nd in 2015. Kath am wondering is that Ki67 only if you have Her2??

Sometimes if youre using an ipad or phone it cuts off some of the post, dont know. 

@socoda, I hope you did go somewhere nice with that $5000 xx I'm sure you did the right thing and please don't let my stresses doubt you xxx 
@melclarity did you find the ki67? Will be interesting to see if it was high or low with your very first dx .

@melclarity Sometines written as MIB-1 but it's much the same thing. Or MK167. It's included with all the details of the fish (or is it sish) test etc just before they do the final grade info.

Hi @Dandelion, I had a 2.7cm tumor, Grade 1, Eo+, Pr+, Her2 -, 4 nodes taken 3 of which were sentinel,  none of which had cancer involvement. My Ki 67 was smack bang on 20% and I was offered onco dx test as I was said to be on the borderline. I had already had full single mastectomy with recon using implant and had been told that I was considered low risk for everything else. I was told if results came back high I would definitely have chemo. If low then no. I asked about a result in the middle and they said honestly they did not know what they would do. So I opted for no onco dx test as they had already told me they considered all other risks low. I did decide that the $5000 for the test for my breast tissue to be sent to America would be better used for my whole body to go somewhere nice instead;) . I have only had tamoxifen and am coming up to first year testing. No regrets so far. Wishing you all the best. Will re chat to them as things aren't sitting really right with me ATM , dx and reacurrance statistics. Still have to get the recon done so feel stuck in the middle of it . Dont feel like I can move on to it's all behind me .
