Do I need chemo for 1-3 nodes positive
Starting to wonder/worry should I have been offered chemo.
I know we all have different treatment plans but just have to ask and try to put my mind at rest .
I was dx with multifocal invasive lobular cancer . Stage 2 grade 2 estrogen positive and one lymph node positive .
Was told chemo wouldn't work . They don't give it for 1-3 nodes !!!
Was given the choice of radiation !!
Had a mastectomy , axillary clearance , rads , zoladex and aromasin .
Anyone know about this ?
Just read an artical about genomic testing to decide whether woman are likely to benefit from chemo when they have 0-3 positive lymph nodes and are ER positive.
my breast tissue is gone so to late for that but still carnt help but question shouldn't I of had chemo .

- Hey @dandelion, haven't been away yet, have plans to go for a relaxing week or two with my sisters and female friends over to Bali and spend the time shopping and thoroughly relaxing. :smiley:

- @Dandelion Ohhh Ive been to hell and back in 6yrs haha!! Im currently 2 years clear, but definitely talk to your Oncologist who will explain absolutely all of it with clarity :) definitely not everyone requires Chemo thank goodness!! believe me I tried to get out of it LOL, didnt want it. But done now have moved on x
- So mine has changed cells(stage 2) but at s slow rate , due to the Ki 67 and even though it's in one lymph node it doesn't require chemo because I have Lobular cancer . @melclarity you'll be fine as you're had all the treatment
- Mine was IDC Kath but wondered is that more for Her2? as I dont have that.
- Ki67....wouldn't be done on dcis.
- Grade just means how different it is from a normal cell...so like 1st mutation, 2nd or 3rd etc. It is not it's growth rate.
