diep surgery

Julia, the diep flap sugery went well, had some minor problems, it lasted 12 hours, and the artery kinked on the second night, so back for 3 hour surgery, then had a haematoma on the 3rd night, but 4th day all started to improve, the nurses and surgeons were all terrrific and were never far if anything went wrong. I am in Melbourne, eastern suburbs and went through the public system, as we cannot afford private. The results after the surgery, are they look very natural, just not much sensation, but hubby thinks they are great, took 3 weeks for swelling to go down, am very happy with the look and feel, hope this helps, Kerri

    sorry have been unwell, i am a size 12, they are very even and for the haematoma, i opted not to go into surgery again, as i had already been in twice and was to drugged, so as i had no pain there on the left side, they opened me up on the ward and the nurse came and drained it every half hour for the next 10 hours and i just had to lie very still, so watched the TV all night, but all was good by the time the surgeon came back and stitched me up.was not an easy decision, but had enough of operating theatres. I had over 700mls drained, it did make a right royal mess. I got cramps, but as i was still in hospital, the nurse showed me how to massage the site, it made it more bearable, hope you are well Chris,cheers

    am very pleased, i had it all done(both off and rebuilt) in the one operation at maroondah in ringwood, was there for 10 days, as i ended up with a haematoma , not sure if you are in victoria? but it is not to long a list from what the nurses tell me, the surgeons i had are working both in the private and public and are all very good, i had Dr Law, who spent anytime i needed on any questions and the plastic surgeon was Dr Neoh, he made me feel very relaxed and comfortable about it and was always there if i had any queries,if he was not, the others that worked with him were also very good, i am to go back to him in July to see if i would like my nipples done and tattood, but i am happy with the shape now,only cost was the pain relief to take home, incase there was anymore pain, i just had to remember to do the excercises slowly and to keep massaging the new breast  areas to keep them soft, the nurses were also very good with advice, hope this helps, all the best
