DIEP Surgery Done

Well it is day 10 post surgery and I am doing very well but boy what a marathon it has been. There were no ‘major’ hiccups, thank goodness, even with fairly smooth sailing this operation...

It has been nearly 3 months since my DIEP surgery and I am feeling really good. My new boobs are softening up nicely and look and feel very natural in my clothes. My tummy scar gets sore sometimes and I have a bit of numbness in the tummy area that my surgeon says will stay like that. At first it felt really wierd but I am getting used to it.
I am glad I chose the Diep even though it was such a long surgery and recovery.
It's a really big decision and everyone of us has different needs and variables. Good luck in making your decision.
