DIEP Surgery Done

Well it is day 10 post surgery and I am doing very well but boy what a marathon it has been. There were no ‘major’ hiccups, thank goodness, even with fairly smooth sailing this operation...

Hi Sue, which city are you in? I haven't had the DIEP, but did research it extensively before choosing to have implants. I could very happily recommend a Sydney surgeon who I saw for this procedure. I decided against using this option, but the Sydney guy has a great reputation, and he was so good and enthusiastic at my consultation, that I would have been very confident to have him as my surgeon. Two friends of mine have also had him do their DIEPs, and they were extremely happy with the results. I thought it looked pretty good too. So, if you are in Sydney, his name is Professor David Pennington, and he works out of RPA. He has a great web site as well. Good luck with your search.
