Well it is day 10 post surgery and I am doing very well but boy what a marathon it has been. There were no ‘major’ hiccups, thank goodness, even with fairly smooth sailing this operation...

The new boobs feel so much better than the tissue expander. Even though they are black and blue and covered in scars they look very natural in a bra and clothes. The also feel more natural to touch, not hard like the expander - to me the expander felt like a rock glued in place, it was so tight.
From what I can gather the silicone implants also feel a lot better than the expander.
Yes it was my newest mastectomy that had the problems, I had not thought about that. That breast is also slightly more swollen than the other. I will ask my surgeon about that today when I see him.
Take care and just remember, the expander is temporary. What ever recon you choose will feel and look better than the expander.
