DIEP Surgery Done

Well it is day 10 post surgery and I am doing very well but boy what a marathon it has been. There were no ‘major’ hiccups, thank goodness, even with fairly smooth sailing this operation...

OMG Ann-Marie what a huge surgery - not to mention the recovery time. You are amazing to have gone thru all that. I wish you all the best of recovery and healing.
You are SO right when you say 'listening to your body' - that is one thing I am sure all of the pink people have learnt. I am happy to hear you are pleased with the end results. Those surgeons are very clever, it's quite amazing what they do.
I too am on pain meds home from hospital (yesterday) with my drain and gorgeous handbag to carry it around in. LOL. Back to surgeon on Thursday to have the drain removed if all goes well. Now awaiting biopsy results before radiotherapy plan.
