Diagnosis
At 41 I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 weeks ago and had a lumpectomy 2 days ago and lymph nodes removed. My breast nurse told me to go shopping for a wig. I am still trying to absorb everyt...
Hi there Sal, glad you are recovering well from your op, it takes a bit out of you doesn't it?
Normality is a strange thing isn't it .... I think over the years you take yourself and your health for granted, then when you get hit with something like this life as you know it changes.
What type of work do you do, nothing too physical I hope, especially while your body is in the healing process. I can honestly say I have no idea as to the effects of chemo ... I was fortunate that I didn't need it .... but apparently different people have different reactions.
The main thing is to listen to your body .... if it says rest - then do so. If it says relax with a wine - then do that too !!!!
Do you have your My Journey kit yet - if not (as I said to Shannon) you can order it through this site. It's a wealth of information.
Take care of yourself and keep us posted as to how you are getting on
Cheers .... Shirl xx
