I'm glad that your twin sister was ok. Hopefully that means your BC (like most of us) is not genetic and that will be better news for your daughters too. My younger sister had a mammogram after my diagnosis and was ok. I have been told that my daughters will need to be monitored more closely from the age of 30. I really hope they find out more about what causes BC and how to cure it before they have to worry (they are only 19 and 21 at the moment). There was no family history of BC for me, so I have just made as many healthy changes as I can and keep my fingers crossed that the treatment I had and tamoxifen will keep me cancer-free.
I think it is almost harder for our husbands than it is for us to cope with the shock of all this. My husband was a terrific help too and if anything good has come out of this it is that we now appreciate our time together so much more! Hope that everything is good for your daughters with their mammograms and ultrasounds too. Deanne x
