DejaVu

I had a scare last week!

Ultrasound showed a lump but core biopsy showed it to be only a cyst.

Hooray!!

  • Hi Chris

Thanks for your kind words. I had just had an appointment with a Gyno because I had some unusual bleeding after 3 years of no periods. I am now on Arimidex and the gyno told me I have to have a D7C next week. She will take a sample because Tamoxifen causes a thickening of the lining of the uterus. What next!!

I might have to have a hysterectomy.

I'm happy to hear that you are happy with your new breasts.

I didn't have a reconstruction and I sometimes wish I had both breast removed .

  • Hi Denise, So good to know that all is ok. I know what that feels like. Same thing happened to me last September. I was planning to have a second precautionary mastectomy, and decided to have a mammogram and ultrasound before visiting my surgeon to confirm the dates of surgery. For me it was like history repeating itself, because 9 months before, I had discovered breast cancer through the ultrasound, even though the mammogram was clear. No one was very suspicious of the lump the first time, and it was cancer. The second time, again nothing showed on mammogram, but ultrasound showed something that the radiologist said was highly suspicious, and a core biopsy was done. Those 2 days of waiting were awful, and it turned out to be only fibrous tissue. Any doubts I might have had re the second mastectomy disappeared there and then. I have had no regrets about this choice, and my newly reconstructed boobs look good, and are both the same size and even. Love Chris xx
