dear Dad rest in peace

hey there  to friends in my little contact group (hoping this Blog Post is still set to 'Private', not sure, but if not maybe the tag will help others) am writing to say that my Dad,the dear 86 year old father of our family, passed away 20th May, last month. To be around to care for your aged parent is the most natural thing in the world, it felt a real privilege...there were so many aspects that were tough with several years of a difficult illness for him...along with many wonderful people helping and wonderful times. Last February, for Dad's 86th Birthday,  my dear husband John and the lovely Pastoral Care Chaplain helped make it a little party for Dad. Dad ate all his plate of cake (ice-cream cake!), squeezed my husband's hand and said "Thanks John".        :) Love from Jenny
