Day 97

Where am I....ok, so I have done two rounds of chemo, going in for my third round in a week (I only have four rounds which is fantastic!).

Bar a couple of days where I felt really yucky (achy, tired, cranky!) during each cycle, I would say I'm almost 'normal' most of the time. My taste buds are off, but other than that I am actually fine. Exercising every day, working as per normal, cooking, cleaning, socialising with friends (even getting a glass of wine in on occasion) etc etc. I would say I'm eating healthier and exercising more regularly than I did prior to the big C, all to help me feel better, so my body is definitely responding. I do feel lucky, because I read others experiences which aren't so great. But have to say, I feel pretty awesome which is making the whole thing pretty easy.

Last week myself and my girlfriends attended a Breast Cancer Fundraiser at the Randwick Ritz Cinema and saw the movie The Intouchables - one of the best movies I've ever seen - can highly recommend it.

This weekend I'm dragging my partner (although secretly I know he enjoys it!) to the Aus v NZ netball test which I can't wait for - love my netball!

So life goes on...albeit with no hair! :)

  • Hi Annie

You are doing awesome luv!  I'm really happy for you!  And to even get a glass of wine in - now that's what I call classy chemo! LOL!

I hope this continues for you.

Thanks for the recommendation re the movie - I had heard it was absolutely fantastic so I think I'll be going off to see it.

Good luck with the netball - hope your partner enjoys it!

  • Hey Annie

It is wonderful to hear that you are coping so well with chemo, good on you girl.  You are lucky so make the most of it.  The aches and pains etc. are what I get on a normal day without any chemo on board so you are doing well.

It definitely lightens my heart to hear that not everyone goes through hell like some of us did so thank you for sharing that with us.

Glad to see you getting out there and enjoying yourself, no hair and all.

Wishing you ongoing wellness for the rest of your journey and forever and a day..

    LOL, Mich xoxox
