The comments re germ control from the others so far are spot on. Hand sanitiser, tissues to touch and fixtures that are public and being careful of those with obvious coughs and colds.
I a previous career I travelled a lot and when in unsanitary places, the rule was, touch nothing except yourself. ( well not without sanitising after)
I carry a mask in my handbag and if I am somewhere where someone coughs or sneezes I put it on immediately until I can get away. Yes I get funny looks!
But I don't stay home. I would go stir crazy
