Ah now, didn't mean to worry you!
There's not a lot I can control about this particular part of my life, but not drinking and losing weight were two things I knew I could do. As well as continue to exercise (women who exercise at a mid to strenous level also fair better statistically). But as we also know it's all such a lottery, and statistics schmatistics sometimes.
See I measure out 150ml standard drink into a lovely large wine glass and think...hmm..so that's what a standard glass looks like ;-). So for me, it's just easier to say I don;t drink, and enjoy a few glasses of something fabulous on special occassions.
And I look back and remember that in times of serious crisis (rather than OMG have I had a bad day at the office), I instinctively turn away from drinking to cope/destress/relax (which is definitely my preferred mechanism with an OMG day at the office)...so I'm guessing I have insitinctly clicked into serious crisis mode. Had dinner last night in a gorgeous Paddington pub with my husband and not for one moment did I want to drink anything but lemon lime and bitters. So not what I would have done and felt like doing three months ago!!!!!!
Are you QLD Paddington or NSW Paddington? I suspect we may both love different Paddingtons :-). Haven't heard of the Kinghorne.
