Day 79
No more hair....so last night we had to take the rest of my hair off. We had done a 3 buzz cut on Sunday, but that just kept falling out so we had to do a zero last night. I am now completely bald! I...
Hey Annie
Welcome to the fully Monty Club. It is soooo hard when it all comes off and is such a shock. I was like you where I handled a number 3 and actually thought it looked quite nice but then the bald look was a shock. I won't tell you it is easy cause it's not but you sound like you have a lovely supportive partner and were prepared with your head gear on hand so that is half the battle. If it makes you feel any better I have this random lump on the side of my head that my kids freaked out about as it looks quite sinister but the doc has told me it is normal and nothing to worry about but doesn't look good on a bald head I can tell you and it is something I have to see every day (bloody thing).
I am so glad that you can look on the upside of the things that have happened in your life in the last few days. That will definitely help you through. A new baby in to world is definitely a special thing.
One thing that I find helps to lift my spirit is before I go to bed or anytime during the day (if I need a lift) I think of 3 things that I have enjoyed, made me laugh or smile or made me feel I had accomplished something during that day. It does help and I even found myself laughing to myself over something that happened yesterday.
I am wishing you the very best on your journey and hoping your chemo road is a smooth one.
LOL, Mich xoxo
