I have had a few, very minor muscle aches. I contribute the fact that they are few due to having done pilates for several years. Some very basic muscle stetches - hard to explain but I will try. Only knowing that it has helped me, so happy to share knowing it may help you.
Simply standing tall with both feet hip width apart - breathe in and then as you breathe out - tip your head down, chin to chest bending down slowly- let your handshang down with knees bent and try to touch your toes. As you are ready to come up again breathe in tense your stomach muscles breathe out slowly as you come up again. Do this three times with knees bent then again another 3 times with straight knees, it stretches your calf muscles and lower back. We start pilates with this exercise every class. If you do this in the morning and again at night you will find you can reach further at night, only because our bodies are more eleastic in the evening.
I went to meditation class and met a lovely group of ladies, all at various stages of their breast cancer treatment and all various ages. We had the option to lay down on a mat with a blanket or sit in a chair. WOW I felt I had so much more energy after the meditation. It was two different types of meditation, both guided, where you isten to the lady speak of which muscle to focus on. I highly recommend it. Right after the class I was invited to join some of the ladies to have a cuppa - was great to talk to people that were in my same head space - to hear and see that we are all different - yet all the same. If that makes sense.
