Day 65

So today I am on day 4 of my first cycle of chemo, and still, so far so good! I havent felt any different as yet - energy levels are the same, food tastes the same etc etc. I guess I am waiting for the 'hit'over the next few days, but am enjoying just having some time off work in the meantime! The weather has been great so my dog and I have been out exercising every day, getting some fresh air - it's been lovely. My best friend had her baby yesterday too which I am just thrilled about - a little boy named Toby - so gorgeous. Just got off an hour long phone call with my gorgeous cousin too.... Just chatting about everything and anything... She is only a few years older than me and has always been a big sister to me, then since mum died has taken on a roll as a bit of a mum too - she is just wonderful and I don't know where I'd be without her. So on the whole, things going along nicely. Let's hope it stays that way! Now I'm off for a quick walk before the rain comes. X

  • Hey Annie

Well done for staying on top of your chemo, you lucky thing.  Good on you for getting out there and enjoying that sunshine and I know your puppy is loving you for it.

My poor Miss B isn't getting spoilt with walks at the moment as I am totally fatigued following my chemo, radiotherapy and just trying to get over bronchial pneumonia but I will get there and my girl will get her walks on the beach real soon.  That is my goal that I can get back out in the sunshine and walk our beautiful beaches............

Keep your chin up and I will keep everything crossed that you are one of the blessed ones who sails through her chemo.  Good on you.

  • How marvellous that you are having such a positive time. Hold that thought, but do be ready in case it changes.

I have had different reactions to each cycle, (up to #4 now) and I suspect the last 2 might be the worst. The chemicals are cumulative I'm told. But I'm ready for whatever it brings. I just count myblessings that it hasn't been too bad overall.

Goodluck, I hope you stay fresh and happy !
