Day 62

First day of chemo today. The process itself is a breeze - wasn't really sure what to expect. All the nurses in the onc unit are really lovely, and it helped that my wonderful partner was there with me all day.... Reading me the paper when I had the ice mits on, replying to my text messages for me, giving me water...he really is truly amazing. So many messages today as well from my beautiful family and friends....I feel blessed to have them in my life....I think I'm extremely lucky and only just starting to realise that. So far I am feeling fine, however the nurses tell me it will take a few days to kick in. Still planning on getting up and walking the dog with a little jog in the middle on each day if I can. Wig shopping on Saturday and tomorrow...I actually find it fun! Have narrowed it down to 2 at the first place, and will have a look at another good place tomorrow. We've gone and bought plenty of fresh fruit and veg today to continue our healthy eating, and have even bought a juicer off eBay to play with some fun fruit and veg juices for those days I don't feel like eating much. Figure if I can get a fruit & veg juice down then at least I'm getting some goodness. But for now the rest of the night is going to involve some r&r, catching up on true blood and watching x factor. :)

    Hi Annie,

It is great to hear that your first chemo went well :-) Make sure you take it easy over the next few days and keep us up to date with how you go.
