Day 5 round 2 TCH

Hello everyone

Thought I would write a little something to make you all giggle......Me with the mending broken humerus decided it was working enough (it's so much better) to resew all my Bali Kaftans up the left as of course along with some shirts I had to stitch rip the arm much wider to be able to dress my self with my enormous brace. Chemo Fog and oh my golly it did not matter how hard I concentrated I either sewed up the wrong side or right over the arm hole. I alterered a blouse meaning to adjust the front but adjusted the back instead. I also tried to follow the simplest of turban patterns (I was once an expert) do you think I could follow the pattern. Ah well killed the afternoon. Trying my hand (the good one) at homemade turkish bread as I fancy some and dare not drive! This week has not been beer and skittles but nearly over the worst I hope. How is everyone else doing. PS all hair gone but still get the most horrible heats and soreness on my scalp. Have a lovely sunday everyone. Let's hope it rains down here in Mandurah as if?????? Sarah

  • Hello Jessica

I am going to go along and it will be my first time. A get together with other PINK LADIES of Perth. It is being held at someones home in Mount Lawley starting at 1pm for a few hours. It would be lovely to catch up with other ladies in our situation. I would offer a lift but I have something before and after envolving my Grand-child.

Hope you are feeling ok and even well as you must now be at nearly the end of two weeks after chemo. I am every day seeing the light although yesterday I had to go to doc's as my left ear (my arm and cancer all on the left) was really painful. Yes I had a middle ear infection...........takes me back 50 yrs. So on anti biotics and to-day I over balanced in my excitment when I spotted my new basil plant was showing signs of growth and to save falling on my mended arm launched my self into the swimming pool! The things we do

    Hopefully meet you Sat

    Sarah

  • Hi Sarah, thanks so much for your kind offer of help, but I'm fine at the moment. I am very blessed, lucky enough to have both a daughter and a husband who are willing and able to help me with transport and to share my Chemoparty days at the oncology chemo lounge at the moment.  If the wheels fall off the system at any point in time I will very gratefully get in touch and take you up on your offer. I do hope you are surviving ok, and that you too are finding that even though it is a very unpleasant way to spend half a year, it is manageable and that you have what it takes to kick ass as they say.
