I found the first round of Chemo was the hardest. As if the oncologist professor was doing an experiement with my body and the mountain of drugs. Eventually the oncologist will adjust the drug base on your body's reaction - that's what happen to me on Fec. I had bad bloating and reflux to a point that I don't want to drink. I, was like a preggy bloating woman, ate small meals and avoid bloating food - raw veg, beans, dairy product etc. I think the drug causes a lot of water-retention. :(.
It is important you record all the side-effects on day 1,2 ,3, etc and side-effects after certain drugs etc. Talk to your oncologist during your review.
Personally I found complementary therapy before and after chemo seem to settle my side-effect of chemo. Check with your doctor and nurse for recommendation.
Hope you feel better soon - look after yourself. I found BC journey was like being pregnant with myself. That is making a new healthy person, and be conscious about looking after myself (which we tends to forget being a mum).
