Day 4, Round 1, Chemotherapy

And so the battle of my cells begins methinks.

Feeling a bit off today. Just not right. Still no words to explain it. The fatigue fog feels like it's going to start rolling in. But nausea remains non existant and I have been able to enjoy my usual diet since I started chemo on Friday.

Managed to prepare for and conduct a client meeting this afternoon without skipping a beat for which I was grateful...but had a bit of sook this morning that I had to work because, well, I didn't want to! I wanted to spend a gentle morning easing my way into the day, read the paper, pop down for a dip, swim a few laps, enjoy sunshine chats with friends. Fortunately this is squarely on the agenda for tomorrow body willinging.

I'm curled up now on the couch, preparing to chill out to the ABC news, gathering the enegry to get back to another client. Thank goodness for our online world -- for the support we can gain here, and for the way in which it enables us to do keep the work side of life ticking along sometimes from the comfort zone of home and jammies.

Hope everyone is having a good day today. We can all do wiith as many of those as possible.

Chocolate tarts and lemon tarts from our favourite bakery to share with my hubby soon.

Building a treat into every day, my mission (not all calorie filled!).

  • Hi Dawngirl,

Please keep these posts going. They make great reading and give hope to us girls that are just about to start that it wont be aaaalllll bad. And even if it is bad, that it's do-able.  Good luck!  Vee

  • Thanks Annie. I just re-read my post and went eek over the spelling typos...willinging..that's special! ;-) hope that's not a sign of things to come! I'm blaming a stuck keyboard ;-)

now that I am lying still apart from my finger tips, I'm feeling better.

And nothing like seeing the devastation being wreaked by bushfires to so many people across the country to take my mind off me!

We're in the zone...hoping for safe days for everyone in the coming days.

  • Don't worry, at times you may feel a bit worse off but it will pass and you'll feel better soon again. I'm sure. Good that you still have your appetite, enjoy your yummy treats! Sending positive thoughts your way / Annie :)
