Day 23

I am now at home, perched up om the couch. The pain is still quite bad with the expander...but I'm told it will get a little better each day. My lovely partner has propped me up, got me food and drink and said I'm not to move unless I need to - bless him. The nurses in the hospital were all excellent...they deserve more credit for what they do. My cousin surprised me with a visit yesterday, and stayed with me in hospital all day today which was lovely. My work colleagues also visited today which was just an hour of solid laughing - good to feel good but no good for my chest! So one week now till I see the surgeon to get the results and the recommendation for treatment...so the waiting continues. So far all really positive though - clear nodes and no drain from the op- both good signs. So for now I will enjoy my week at home, watch the Olympics, chat with my visitors, and snuggle with my partner and puppy. xxx

    It's great to hear you are back home and resting. Not sure I would offer to trade places with you, after what you are going through but I must say it would be quite good being on the couch watching the Olympics.

    hi annie, glad to hear you are back home, all be it still in pain, nothing like your own bed eh. Hopefully the pain with get better soon, meanwhile enjoy being looked after, and the good friends, nothing like a bit of laughter to help get us through. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.
