Hi @Flossy. I had all sorts of weird pain after my wide local incision and sentinel node removal. I sat bolt upright in bed three nights after because I thought my husband was poking a cold metal pole into my shoulder blade. It was ice cold and nothing was there. Very uncomfortable. After that I had red hot sensations in the same place.
All the things that get removed from our bodies are in different places, and the surgeons all have different approaches. As our nerves try to work out what the hell is going on in the new landscapes and regrow, we get these weird sensations.
So no, you're not going mad! If it persists for long enough to worry you, check it out with your surgeon for peace of mind. K xox
