Day 2 Post surgery : wide excision & axillary dissection
Hi All, Just Home from hospital yesterday post surgery on Tuesday. Seem to be suffering nerve pain under my arm not near suture line or drain. Comes on suddenly and is not nice... ice packs seem to ...
Hi @Flossy - I didn't have the same surgery as you - but it just takes a while for everything to settle down again & the nerves etc to find a new route. Make haste slowly ..... Make sure you keep your pain meds up on a regular basis. Hopefully it will settle down soon.
Do you have a small pillow to help support your arm? It will really help.
My nodes were 'pulled out' (not surgically removed) and I had a really weird feeling under my arm for well over a month before it settled down - just take your time & hopefully it will settle down
