Day 14 after 1st FEC100 - Oops there goes the hair.

Hi Lovely People,

Well, just like clockwork day 14 today and the hair is coming out.  It probably didn't help that last night, I was playing dressups with all my scarves and hats I have collected over the past 3months and was pushing my hair underneath them. :o)

I have sent out the emergency callout to my girlfriend to bring over the clippers tomorrow.  My Hubby is working away at the moment and I get to see him on Sunday, but I am afraid that the hair won't last till then!  Especially, when I am a weirdo and stand in fascination how easy it is coming out. hahahahaaa  At least the bikini line will be sorted for Summer. :o)

Chemo No. 2 is on Wednesday and I hope that it goes smoothly.  I had a few rough days last time, but I managed to push through and I have enjoyed a week of normality, Yay!

Hope everyone is doing fine and keeping well.

Rach xx

  • Hi Rach,

Mine too also fell out from Day 14. The good thing is that when it grows back it is nice and soft and mine has grown back thicker. Also with the weather getting warmer you will not feel as hot and get to wear lovely scarfs and sun hats. The good thing was that all my body hair went as well saving on money and the pain for waxing for a few months. I used to treat my self to a pedicure every chemo cycle as I was saving money on waxing, hair productsand hair cuts  and it was bliss. I highly recommend it to you. I had a hard time coming to terms with my hair loss at the beginning I hope you are not feeling too down about it. Hope you 2nd chemo went well.

  • Hi Rach

Sounds familiar, although mine just started thinning and I didn't need the clippers until the clumps blocked the shower a week after my second FEC!! Maybe that tucking did bring it on a bit - bet it felt good to have that fashion parade though! I've got brave over the last month (too cold before) and often go bald around home but try not to scare the neighbours!! The bikini line and lack of underarm is definitely a bonus and once I waxed legs around treatment 3 there has been next to no regrowth there either.

All the best fro Wednesday and enjoy that head attire.
