Hi there, my mind can race right back to where you are now. My IDC was almost exactly the same size. The surgeon I had was fabulous, I am so grateful to have had him. And my oncologist is a wonderful woman.
Re Googling, I do a lot of web surfing but I always take what I read with a grain of salt - especially the ones with "miracle cures". I just ifnd it helpful to read and understand what I have been told, in peace and quiet and at my own speed.
