day 1: it's going to be ok

It's a really Scary Time for anyone who is diagnosed with BC.   Welcome to  this wonderful site that has so many ladies who have all traveled the road your about to embark on.  Yes most of us felt  the same way as you were describing, although not described so vibrantly. I know i felt weird , felt very  strange indeed and  yes like you i felt  totally powerless and alone. Its the beginning of  a journey you will never forget and believe me you will become so much stronger within yourself.

You will find some really lovely ladies on this  site, some with  first cancers, like myself and some with  secondaries  and more.  I know with my diagnosis all i wanted was information and lots of it. I suspect you are the same. Well there is an  abundance of information to be shared on this site.  We are all here for when you just need someone to talk to that knows what it is like to feel this way.

The next couple of months are not  going to be what you wanted or thought you would ever have to go through in your life but if you can just try and  remain positive  then you will get through it much better.(much harder said than done) When is your surgery due and have you got your results back from pathology.
