I had my ovaries removed just over 3 years ago because I couldn't stand the hormonal swings anymore and then I was having yearly implants. The next implant was due right when I got my diagnosis so of course I didn't have it done. I still have a bit of oestrogen left in my system so I hope by the time I start the tamoxifen most of it will be gone. My daughters sister inlaw was diagnosed this year and had a mastectomy and no chemo or radiation but had to start on tamoxifen. She said that she stopped taking it because of being always hot and cold and very cranky. I said to her "welcome to menopause". I hope she goes back on it because of the nature of her cancer.
It was funny at radiation today because I wore my wig and they kept comming out to get me and then walked back in because they didn't reconize me. I finally had to go and tell them it was me.
Cheers again Nellsbell
